"Local historic sculptures are Adolph Weinman’s WWI Soldiers & Sailors Memorial (1920) at Flagpole Green, Remsen Cemetery’s two doughboys WWI memorial, the Captain Gerald MacDonald Statue (1934) at MacDonald Park by Frederic de Henwood, and Sten Jacobson’s Spirit of Communication (1938) terra-cotta relief at the Forest Hills Post Office. Since the late 1930s, there have been no extant outdoor local sculptures. Now Spider-Man is ready to leap forward!"
